Push Notification Overview

Using the Broadcast module you can send a push notification message to your customers. To receive the notification alert (the message on the screen, the sound and the vibration etc.) the customer must have approved to receive notifications; they are prompted when they first download and join. A customer will need to access the Notifications Settings section in their phone to 'Opt In' if they disregard the initial request.

Even if a customer does not opt in to receive the actual notifications, the message will still appear in the app when they tap the 'Alert' icon on the main promotion screen; it's in the top left corner.

In the coming months new functionality will enable you send more detailed messages to you customer that include links and phone numbers.

If a customer did not receive the alert or the message in their app they should update their app.
